What we collect and why

• Book update invitation: your email address and optional first name, provided voluntarily to receive occasional news about the Explorer Hub and Alex’s projects. Submitting “Keep me updated” records your request in a dedicated Wix form. The lawful basis for these updates is consent. Access to free books is independent of this choice.
• Feedback and enquiries: the information you choose to send, including contact details and your message, to respond and develop the Hub. The basis is legitimate interests in responding to requests and improving services; steps requested before a contract may also apply. Receiving marketing updates requires a separate opt-in.
• Technical information: connection information used by Wix for hosting, security and service delivery, and the browser storage described in our Cookie notice. Necessary processing supports legitimate interests in a secure, working service. Optional reading-position storage requires your choice.

Please do not put medical information, sensitive personal details or information identifying other people in feedback forms.

Who handles information

Wix processes form responses and contact records and supplies website services. Information is not displayed publicly by our forms. We do not sell the contact list. Providers may process information outside the UK under their applicable transfer arrangements; see Wix’s privacy policy for its locations and safeguards. We do not use form responses for automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.

How long we keep it

Update-list details are held while you remain on the list. When you unsubscribe, we stop using your details for updates; a minimal suppression record may be retained to respect that request. Feedback and enquiries are retained while needed to respond and develop the relevant work, and reviewed for deletion when no longer needed. Legal obligations and the establishment or defence of claims may require particular records to be kept longer. Browser-storage durations are listed in the Cookie notice.

Your choices and rights

You can unsubscribe or withdraw consent at any time by emailing info@alexcenem.com. Withdrawal does not affect earlier lawful processing. You may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability where applicable, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. We may need to verify your identity before acting. You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Cookies and email choices are separate

External websites, including Lulu and social platforms, handle your information under their own policies. We update this notice when our practices change; a new tracking purpose will require a new choice where required.
